Thank you, Everybody. We have 32 letters so far. Amazing, touching and poignant. I want to thank everybody who sent one and those who asked their family and friends to help out. Older Vets who have served have written, young students from Holland Junior High and even received a letter from Virginia and Massachusetts. Out “pile” is growing. Our goal was to have 100 letters to deliver by Christmas Eve morning, so we still have a little more time. Just an email letter is fine right now. Please send the letter in the body of the email rather than as an attachment.
I started out by writing everybody a personal thank you for helping out with this project but I won’t be able to do that because I have too many to try to keep up with now. Please know that I am very grateful and I can’t wait to read them to the men at the VA medical facility on Thursday morning. I know the letters will be the greatest present they can receive. My cell is 267 939 0365. My email: email@example.com
If you are not sure what this is all about, please read my earlier posting rquesting letters of gratitude for Vets in a medical facility.
I want to give my full information in case anyone wants to reach me and so that you know that this is a “real person” and not a scam. You are welcome to come with me when I deliver the letters on Thursday morning. Please pass this request on to others who might have a few minutes to write a letter of gratitude to the Vets who are living in a facility, near Phoenixville. We will probably also read them to the Phila VA hospital at another time, after Christmas.
