We had a nice group today, about thirty residents sitting in a circle….everybody loved their stuffed animal. There was one lady who had a white washcloth on her head. I don’t know why. She didn’t seem to be too involved in particpating in the program. UNTIL……..I put the DVD’s on with some songs, with pitures – The Lord’s Prayer sung by Johnny Mathis, What a Difference a Day Makes by Dinah Washington and Only the Strong Survive sung by Jerry Butler.
She closed her eyes and with great passion sang out, waving her hands like she was conducting an orchestra. The Activity Director noticed this reaction and pointed her out to me. It was a beautiful sight. She came very alive.
