I pick the flowers up from the shopping carts in the back of Trader Joe’s. Load them into my car. Sometimes, I make two trips, fill up my car and deliver. And then go back and fill up my car again.
On many days, I go to three different stores for pick-ups. Take them to the destinations where people need a little surprise. Nice people offer to help me carry the bags in. Place them on a table, give them to the staff, or in today’s case on top of the piano.
I make an announcement to the seniors that there are plenty of flowers so help yourself to whatever number you need! Take some for your friends or family that may be coming to visit.
Or I go from room to room passing them out. Last week, The Happy Flower Day project brought over 1,000 flowers! 1,000 people received an unexpected gift of blooming joy!
